This direct access is open to all patients registered with a GP practice in the NHS Surrey Heath Clinical Commissioning Group area.  This is open to people aged 18 and over (there is no upper age limit).

After your needs are assessed you will be offered the most appropriate care with a trained professional, which may include a short course of counselling to help you manage your current mental health problem including

  • Generalised anxiety & stress related problems; Panic attacks
  • Depression, including pre & post natal depression; OCD and phobias.

All of these IAPT services offer help for patients experiencing mild to moderate mental health conditions

There is a national programme aimed at Increasing Access to Psychological Therapies – IAPT – and in Surrey Heath there are currently five IAPT providers you can choose from (click the links below for more information):
